Why Your Home Needs Spiritual Cleansing
You may be wondering, what is a home cleansing? And how to cleanse your home anyway? Does this mean another chore on my already daunting to-do list? And do I have to start doing even more cleaning?
Well, you can breathe easy. This home cleansing is less about the actual cleansing (or cleaning) of our homes. Instead, I like to think of it more as an effort to signal to myself that there may be room for improvement in my life or circumstances. Putting an action behind what my intuitive self already knows, helps to get the ball rolling and begin to initiate that change.
When I think of my body and physical home as a sanctuary, how can anything else in my life resist the magnetic pull that I choose to apply to it? You know the saying, “where energy goes is where energy flows?” Well, when we apply positive intention to our environment and those things directly in our control, then the matters that we may believe to have less control over will begin to amplify a similar sentiment.
Just as we clean physically, we can also clean spiritually. So, we can think of this home cleansing as spiritual once we decide to add intention to our actions and be open to change and inspiration as a whole.
I create beauty in my environment. Every situation I experience, is working in my favor. I am an active creator of positivity in my life. Life just keeps getting better. My mind loves to greet me with fresh and inspiring ideas.
When to Cleanse Your Home

It is a good idea to cleanse you home during seasonal transitions, as nature is already in the mood for change. You can think of the seasons as synchronizing with your intentions for change as well. As you begin to notice subtle changes in nature, you can relate this to subtle changes that are also taking place in your life. Use this as a sign to interpret the beautiful happenings in your own life.
Have you ever been in the mood to clean after an argument? I know that I have. Sometimes, we are inclined to perform certain acts that our subconscious knows is exactly what our spirit needs. Honestly, it just feels so good to be in a clean space. It can be a real mood booster. So, this is a great time to cleanse your home and space as well.
During life changes, such as birthdays, the start of a school year or a big move are also great times to cleanse your home. As the saying goes, “out with the old, in with the new.” Get rid of that stagnant energy.
