Why Create a Peaceful Morning to Set the Tone for the Day
As moms it can be fairly easy to wake up on autopilot at the top of the morning. You, like me at times, may hear someone cry out at 7:30am and know that it’s time to immediately sprng into mommy mode. But imagine for a moment that you get to start your day off with just your own thoughts and setting the tone for your own day. What if there was a way to make your mornings sacred, rather than stressful? Turns out it is possible. You can create a peaceful morning routine as a stay-at-home mom with the right preparation and possibly a few minor changes.
Personally, I notice that when my kids act as my morning alarm, I feel off-centered for the entire day. I never can fully be aware with them because I haven’t taken the time to acknowledge and be present with my own intentions for the day.
Therefore, setting up your day with intention can greatly influence the trajectory of the rest of your day. This routine is not about waking up at 5AM sharp every day but rather incorporating a moment of solace into your morning routine to shape it as you so desire.
The Energetics of Morning Time
Morning rituals can help to regulate your nervous system, mood and energy. Think about it, it is the quietest part of the day. Therefore, it really is the best time to nurture your spirit and seek divine guidance. This is a great time to set your intentions and take a breather before all the noise shuts off your connection to the Divine. I notice that my days run so much smoother when I start my risings with a good journaling session. Not only that, but I also have much more positive interactions with my kids when I start my mornings off slowly and alone.
